Purpose-built desktop

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-assembled gaming desktop that pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor with a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus 3TB hard drive give fast boot times and room for large libraries. A 750W power supply and 120mm AIO liquid cooler keep the system stable under load.

Upgrade path

This configuration replaces an older machine limited to four cores, 16GB of RAM or a single mechanical drive. The jump is worth it when you need eight threads for streaming while gaming, want NVMe speeds for level loading and still require multi-terabyte bulk storage. Builders who want a second graphics card or more than 32GB of memory should look elsewhere.

Compatibility check

Verify that your monitor has HDMI or DisplayPort inputs to match the GPU outputs. Confirm the 750W unit has the PCIe power connectors required by the RTX 3050. Ensure the case can accommodate a 120mm radiator and that the motherboard has free DDR4 slots if you plan to expand beyond the installed 32GB.
