Desktop gaming system for high-refresh 1440p play

The Velztorm Pilum pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 3700X with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and 64GB of DDR4 memory. It targets players who want smooth frame rates in modern titles at 1440p without building the machine themselves. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the 750W supply powers the complete build.

8TB total storage with a fast NVMe boot drive

A 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD holds the operating system and active games for quick loading. A 6TB hard drive adds bulk capacity for media libraries and backups. The solid-state portion handles everyday responsiveness while the mechanical drive absorbs large sequential writes. Both drives are installed internally.

RTX 3060 Ti with 8GB GDDR6 decides 1440p viability

The graphics card delivers 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a PCIe 4.0 interface and supports G-SYNC and DirectX 12. That VRAM ceiling limits texture quality in the heaviest 4K titles, so buyers targeting 4K ultra settings should look elsewhere. For 1440p high-refresh gaming the card remains a strong match.

Questions about this item

Can I keep using my current monitor that only has HDMI with the RTX 3060 Ti in this Pilum?

Yes, the graphics card provides one HDMI port so a monitor with HDMI input will work directly.

How do I confirm the 64GB DDR4 and the 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD are both recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab for memory capacity and disk type; both should show the full amounts listed.

Does the box contain a keyboard and mouse or do I need to buy them separately?

The system ships with only the tower, power cord and Windows 11 Pro licence; keyboard, mouse and monitor are not included.
