Velztorm Septex Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Septex desktop is a pre-configured gaming system built around an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core processor and a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD, cooled by a 360mm AIO liquid cooler and powered by a 1000W supply. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Suits high-refresh 1440p gaming; not for 4K ultra

The RTX 3070 8GB handles 1440p gaming at high refresh rates and supports DirectX 12 Ultimate features. Buyers targeting 4K ultra settings or heavy VR workloads will find the 8GB frame buffer limiting. The platform offers configurable storage up to 4TB SSD plus 6TB HDD and RAM up to 128GB DDR5 for future expansion.

8GB GDDR6 on RTX 3070 decides 4K viability

The graphics card provides 8GB of GDDR6 video memory across a PCIe 4.0 interface. That capacity is the primary factor in whether this system meets a buyer's resolution and texture-quality targets.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 3070 GPU use and how does it limit bandwidth?

The GeForce RTX 3070 runs on PCIe 4.0, so its maximum theoretical bandwidth is capped at the 4.0 x16 ceiling.

What clearance does the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler require inside the chassis?

The RGB 360 mm AIO needs a case that can fit a triple-fan radiator and enough space for the pump block on the CPU socket.

How is the 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD installed and what step is often missed?

The drive is factory-fitted in an M.2 slot; the step people miss is enabling the NVMe option in the BIOS so Windows sees the full 2 TB.
