Velztorm Septex CTO gaming desktop

This Velztorm Septex CTO gaming desktop is built around a Ryzen 7 7700X eight-core processor and a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6. It ships with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD, cooled by a 360mm AIO liquid cooler and powered by a 1000W supply. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The system suits players who want a ready-to-game PC with strong 1440p performance, ample DDR5 memory and a large NVMe drive. It also fits creators who need eight cores and 32GB RAM for editing or streaming. Buyers who need more than 32GB memory, additional drive bays, or a newer GPU architecture should look elsewhere.

4TB PCIe NVMe SSD decides fit

The single specification that decides whether this is the right part is the 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. That capacity covers a large game library and project files without extra drives. If the workflow demands more total space or faster sequential speeds than this drive provides, a different configuration is required.

Questions about this item

What PCIe standard does the RTX 3070 graphics card use, and what throughput does it cap at?

The GeForce RTX 3070 connects via PCIe 4.0 x16, so the GPU tops out at the 4.0 lane rate rather than a newer generation.

What case clearance is required for the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler?

The 360 mm radiator needs a triple-fan mounting area (top, front or rear) with enough depth for the radiator, fans and tubing bends.

How is the 4 TB PCIe NVMe SSD installed, and what step is often missed?

The drive is pre-installed in an M.2 slot; the step people forget is initialising and formatting the volume in Disk Management before use.
