Pre-built desktop for 1440p gaming

The Velztorm Tentorix arrives assembled with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-core processor, 96MB L3 cache, GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 graphics, 16GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. A 240mm AIO liquid cooler and 750W power supply handle thermals and delivery. Windows 10 Pro is installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system fits players targeting high refresh rates at 1440p who want a ready-to-game tower with strong single-thread performance. Buyers who need more than 16GB RAM, larger or additional storage drives, or a newer GPU architecture should consider other configurations.

Deciding specification: 96MB L3 cache on the CPU

The 5800X3D's large cache reduces latency in cache-sensitive titles, making it the key differentiator for competitive gaming workloads. If your primary applications do not benefit from extra L3 capacity, a standard 8-core processor may offer similar value.

Questions about this item

What does the PCIe 4.0 interface on the RTX 3070 cap in practice?

The graphics card runs at PCIe 4.0 speeds when installed in a compatible slot, providing full bandwidth for the 8GB GDDR6 memory.

What does the 240 mm AIO liquid cooler require to fit inside the case?

The 240 mm radiator needs a mounting location that accepts two fans side-by-side, plus enough depth for the radiator, fans and tubing bend radius.

How is the 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD installed, and what step is often missed?

The drive is pre-installed in an M.2 slot; the step people miss is initialising and formatting the volume in Windows Disk Management before use.
