Velztorm Vertix Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Vertix is a mini-tower gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X eight-core processor running at 3.80 GHz with a 4.7 GHz boost and 32 MB L3 cache. It pairs that CPU with a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card carrying 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and includes a 750 W power supply.

PCIe NVMe storage and DDR4 memory limits

The desktop uses two 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSDs for a combined 1 TB of solid-state capacity. The platform supports DDR4 DIMM modules only, with configurable options of 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity, while wired networking uses a standard RJ-45 Ethernet port.

16 GB GDDR6 frame buffer and 1 TB boot volume

The 16 GB GDDR6 frame buffer on the RX 6900 XT handles 4K gaming textures and compute workloads without paging to system memory. The 1 TB NVMe array loads the operating system and a large game library quickly, though creators working with multi-terabyte media projects will need external or additional internal storage.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16GB DDR4 option or upgrade to 32GB or 64GB DDR4?

The base 16GB DDR4 handles current games and multitasking well; choose 32GB DDR4 if you run heavy creative workloads or want extra headroom, and 64GB DDR4 only for specialised workstation tasks.

What does the 3.80GHz base clock with 4.7GHz boost mean for actual gaming?

The 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X runs at 3.80GHz and can reach 4.7GHz on demanding threads, giving strong frame rates in modern titles when paired with the Radeon RX 6900 XT.

How fast are the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 and USB 3.1 Gen1 ports in practice?

USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 provides up to 10Gbps throughput, while the two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports and four USB 3.0 Type-A ports each deliver 5Gbps for external drives and peripherals.
