Ultra-wide circular fisheye perspective

The Venus Laowa 4mm f/2.8 delivers a 210° circular fisheye view on L-mount cameras. Its 4mm focal length captures a hemispherical image that wraps around the frame edges. The 7-element, 6-group optical design maintains sharpness from f/2.8 to f/16. Photographers gain a distinctive creative tool for immersive scenes.

Creative shooters needing extreme angle

This lens suits photographers and videographers who want a circular fisheye effect for VR content, 360° panoramas, drone work or experimental self-portraits. The 135g weight and tiny 1.77 x 1.0" barrel make it pocketable for travel. Builders who need rectilinear correction, standard wide-angle coverage or autofocus should look at something else.

210° coverage with two-shot panoramas

The 210° field of view comfortably captures full hemispherical scenes in a single circular frame. Two to three overlapping shots produce a complete 360° spherical panorama for virtual tours. Headroom runs out when a scene demands rectilinear perspective, corner-to-corner sharpness on a flat sensor or electronic communication with the camera body.
