Silent corded mouse for shared spaces

The Verbatim 99790 is a wired USB optical mouse built with Silent Technology, silent click switches and rubber covers to eliminate audible clicks. Its ambidextrous shape suits left- or right-handed users in offices, libraries or home workspaces where noise must be kept to a minimum.

Optical tracking and scroll precision

High-resolution optical sensing delivers smooth, accurate cursor movement across common desk surfaces without a mouse pad. A single precision scroll wheel provides reliable vertical navigation through documents and web pages, while the corded connection ensures consistent response without battery changes or wireless drop-outs.

Ergonomic grip and broad compatibility

The comfort-grip contour supports extended sessions without fatigue and the plug-and-play USB interface works immediately on both Windows and macOS systems. No additional drivers are required, making it a straightforward replacement for noisy mice in any standard desktop or laptop setup.

Questions about this item

Will the USB interface on the 99790 work with the older USB-A ports on my current desktop?

Yes, the 99790 uses a standard USB connection that is compatible with the USB-A ports found on most existing desktops and laptops.

How can I verify the silent click switches are functioning correctly after I plug it in?

Press the left and right buttons; they should register a click on screen without producing an audible clicking sound, confirming the silent switches are active.

Does the 99790 package include a separate software CD or driver dongle, or is everything built into the mouse?

The mouse is plug-and-play with no separate driver disc or dongle required; the optical sensor, silent switches, scroll wheel and rubber covers are all integrated into the unit.
