Product type and purpose

This Verilux 1332 Himalayan Glow lamp is an accent light built around a metal basket filled with pink Himalayan salt chunks. A 7.5 W E26 bulb produces a warm amber glow and the integrated rotary dimmer lets you adjust brightness for mood lighting or night use. It is intended for indoor spaces such as bedrooms, offices or dorm rooms.

Ideal setting and limits

The lamp suits anyone wanting a decorative piece that also provides soft, adjustable illumination for relaxation or low-light tasks. Buyers who need bright task lighting, high lumen output, or a fixture rated for outdoor or damp locations should look at something else.

Deciding specification

The 7.5 watt E26 bulb and rotary dimmer together define the light level and control method, making this the key detail for deciding whether the lamp meets your brightness and adjustment needs.

Questions about this item

What does the E26 base limit in practice?

The E26 socket accepts standard 120 V household bulbs and is rated for the included 7.5 W LED; it cannot run bulbs that exceed the fixture's 15 W energy-efficient rating.

What clearance does the 13.462 cm by 20.066 cm shade need?

The rectangular metal-and-salt shade measures 13.462 cm wide and 20.066 cm tall, so allow at least that footprint plus a few centimetres around it for heat dissipation and the rotary switch.

How is the lamp installed and what step is often missed?

Place the lamp on a stable indoor surface, insert the supplied E12-base bulb into the socket, plug the ETL-certified cord into a 120 V outlet, then use the patented rotary dimmer to set brightness — skipping the dimmer adjustment leaves the lamp at full intensity.
