20 ft USB LED strip for accent lighting

This 20-foot RGB strip runs on 5 V USB power and includes 300 5050 SMD LEDs. The self-adhesive backing attaches to clean indoor surfaces such as cabinets, shelves or behind a monitor. An IR remote provides on/off, colour selection and 1 % to 100 % dimming. The low-voltage design stays cool to the touch.

Replaces fixed single-colour under-cabinet fixtures

Swapping a static warm-white bar for this strip adds full RGB mixing and remote dimming without new wiring. The upgrade is worthwhile when you want programmable colour scenes for movies, parties or mood lighting while keeping the existing USB outlet or power bank.

Handles ambient backlight and decorative runs

At 7.5 W the strip comfortably illuminates a 20-foot linear run for bias lighting, stair accents or wedding décor. It runs out of reach for high-output task lighting, outdoor exposure or installations longer than the supplied 6 000 mm length without additional segments and power injection.

Questions about this item

How much clearance do I need for the 10 mm wide, 1 mm thick strip and its adhesive back?

The strip measures 10 mm wide by 1 mm thick; allow a few extra millimetres for the adhesive layer and the USB connector at the power end.

What is the step people miss when installing the 16 LED strips with the IR remote?

Point the remote at the receiver on the control box and remove the plastic battery tab before testing; the IR signal will not pass through cabinets or around corners.

Which part of the 20 ft kit will need replacement first?

The IR remote uses one included lithium metal battery; when range drops, replace it with the same coin-cell type.
