Corner RGBICW accent lamp

The Verilux SSG-500 is a 150 cm corner floor lamp that uses RGBICW LEDs to produce over 16 million colours. It is designed for indoor ambient lighting in bedrooms, living rooms or gaming spaces. Control is handled by an included remote or a companion smartphone app.

Suits mood-lighting needs; not for task illumination

The lamp targets users who want colour-changing accent light with music synchronisation and 68 plus preset scenes. Buyers who need bright, directional light for reading or detailed work should look elsewhere because the fixture is built for atmosphere rather than task output.

150 cm corner form factor

The shade measures 10 cm by 10 cm by 150 cm, giving a tall, slim profile that tucks into room corners. This fixed height and footprint determine whether the lamp fits the intended space, so check the dimensions against the available corner before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the Verilux SSG-500 need a mains socket nearby to power the 150 cm lamp?

Yes, the floor lamp plugs into a standard indoor mains socket; no separate transformer or battery pack is mentioned in the specifications.

Can I keep my existing IR remote and use it with the SSG-500 instead of the supplied one?

The lamp is controlled by its own dedicated remote and the smartphone app; compatibility with third-party IR remotes is not indicated.

How do I confirm the music-sync feature is active after pairing the app?

Play audio near the lamp; the LEDs should change colour and brightness in rhythm with the music when the music-sync mode is selected in the app.
