Verilux 15ft TV Backlight Kit

This Verilux LED strip measures 15 feet and fits televisions from 45 to 65 inches. It contains 90 individual LEDs and draws 7.5 watts from a standard 5 V USB port. The kit includes a 20-key remote and a Bluetooth app that offers 16 million colours for bias lighting behind the screen.

Viewers wanting ambient bias lighting

Buyers who need a mains-powered installation or a strip longer than 15 feet should consider other options. The adhesive-backed tape is designed for indoor use on flat surfaces behind a TV, monitor or desk. It is not rated for outdoor exposure or permanent architectural coving.

Check TV USB port and rear clearance

Ensure the television has an available 5 V USB port capable of supplying the strip. Verify that the rear profile allows the flexible tape to bend at corners without tension. The surface must be clean and dry for the adhesive to bond securely.

Questions about this item

Does the 15ft LED strip draw its 7.5W from a TV USB port or do I need a separate adapter?

The 7.5W strip is USB powered and plugs directly into a 5V TV USB port, so no separate adapter is required.

Will the 90 LEDs still adhere and bend around corners on a 45in screen without extra connectors?

Yes, the flexible strip bends at corners and uses stronger adhesive, allowing it to fit 45in to 65in TVs without additional connectors.

How can I verify the Bluetooth app and 20-key remote are both controlling the 16 million colours correctly after setup?

Open the app and press remote buttons; the strip should change colour instantly across the full 16 million-colour range, confirming both controllers work.
