What this KVM switch does

The Vertiv Cybex SC845DPH-400# is a four-port secure desktop KVM switch that lets one operator control multiple connected computers from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse. It belongs to the SC 800 series and is built for environments that require hardware-enforced isolation between each attached system.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm that every target computer provides a DisplayPort video output and USB keyboard and mouse ports compatible with the switch. Each system must also support Common Access Card reader pass-through at the PP 4.0 level if that authentication path is required. Ensure the single-display configuration matches the intended workflow.

How the included CAC support changes use

The bundled Common Access Card reader integration at PP 4.0 enables secure smart-card authentication to flow through the switch without breaking port isolation. This means operators can log in to any connected machine using a single CAC reader while the hardware maintains separation between classified and unclassified domains.
