Rack Mount LCD Brackets

The Vertiv RMK96 is a set of rackmount mounting brackets designed to secure a local rack access LCD console in a standard server enclosure. It provides the mechanical interface required to install the display and keyboard unit for direct hardware management.

Data Centres Needing Local Console Access

IT teams that operate dense rack rows and require immediate, at-the-rack keyboard, video and mouse control will use this kit to mount the LRA185 console. Environments that rely exclusively on remote management software or KVM-over-IP and never deploy a physical screen at the rack have no use for these brackets.

Compatibility With LRA185 Console Model 185

The brackets are built specifically for the Vertiv Avocent LRA185 local rack access unit identified by the number 185. Verifying that the console matches this model ensures the mounting holes and chassis dimensions align correctly.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the RMK96 brackets to the LRA185 console?

Align the bracket holes with the console side rails and secure each side with the supplied screws before sliding the unit into the rack.

What part of the RMK96 kit wears out first and needs replacement?

The mounting screws and cage nuts can strip after repeated removal; keep spares for future reinstallations.

Which dimension of the RMK96 brackets limits how deep a rack they fit?

The bracket depth is fixed at 96 mm, so racks shallower than that will not accept the assembly.
