Side-Mount Floor Lock for Caster Heights 10 to 13

This stainless-steel floor lock mounts to the side of a cart or wheelbarrow frame. It is designed for equipment with a caster mounting height between 10 and 13 7/8 inches. The unit locks the vehicle in place when engaged. It suits mobile work platforms that need occasional stationary stability.

Mounting Pattern and Height Range Constraints

The lock uses a C bolt-hole pattern on a plate measuring 4-1/2 by 6-1/2 inches. Inside bolt-hole spacing is 2-29/32 by 3-1/4 inches; outside spacing is 2-29/32 by 4-3/4 inches. Retracted height is 15 15/16 inches and extended height is 18 inches. Verify these dimensions against your frame before ordering.

Caster Mounting Height Compatibility Decides Fit

The single specification that determines whether this lock will work is the caster mounting height of your equipment. It must fall within the 10 to 13 7/8 inch window. If your casters sit higher or lower, the lock cannot engage the floor correctly.

Questions about this item

How do I know if the 10 in to 13 7/8 in caster mounting height range fits my cart?

Measure from the floor to the caster mounting plate; if the distance falls between 10 in and 13 7/8 in this lock will engage correctly.

What does the 18 in extended height mean when the lock is deployed?

At full extension the lock reaches 18 in from the mounting surface, lifting the wheel off the floor to hold the cart stationary.

Will the C bolt-hole pattern with 2-29/32 in x 3-1/4 in inside spacing match my existing plate?

Yes — the plate uses the standard C pattern with 2-29/32 in by 3-1/4 in inside hole spacing and 2-29/32 in by 4-3/4 in outside spacing.
