1/2" Drive Metric Axle Nut Socket Set

This 8-piece set covers metric sizes 29mm, 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, 35mm, 36mm, 38mm and 39mm. Each deep 12-point socket is forged from heat-treated CR-MO steel with a phosphate finish for corrosion resistance. The sockets are designed for high-torque impact use on axle and spindle nuts.

Suits heavy-duty axle work; not for light fasteners

Mechanics removing or installing large axle nuts on trucks and SUVs will find the range and depth appropriate. The 12-point geometry reduces rounding risk on stubborn fasteners. Builders needing smaller drive sizes, shallow sockets or inch-series dimensions should look elsewhere.

Fits 1/2" impact guns; case keeps sockets organised

The 1/2" square drive matches standard impact wrenches and breaker bars. Deep wells clear protruding studs on spindle nuts. All eight pieces store in a 325 x 245 x 80 mm airtight case with a carry handle, protecting the finish and simplifying transport between jobs.

Questions about this item

What drive-size impact wrench do I need to use the 1/2" drive sockets in this set?

The sockets have a 12.7 mm square drive, so they fit any standard 1/2-inch drive impact wrench or breaker bar.

Will the 29 mm and 30 mm sockets clear the same spindle nuts that my older 6-point sockets fit?

Yes, the 12-point design engages the same metric fastener flats while distributing force more evenly to reduce rounding.

How can I verify each socket is seated correctly before applying torque?

Each socket is laser-marked with its metric size — 29, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, 38 or 39 mm — so you can confirm the right one is engaged on the nut.
