14ft Telescopic Measuring Rod for Surveyors

The VEVOR 14FT4J8 is a 14ft aluminium grade rod built for surveyors, builders and DIY users who need precise elevation readings on houses, walls and floors. Four telescopic sections extend to 4.27m and collapse to 50.28in for transport. Dual-sided graduations show feet/8ths on the front and feet/inches on the reverse with a ±1/1000mm tolerance.

Practical Limits of the Double-Sided Graduation

The rod reads in 1/8in increments, so measurements finer than that require estimation between marks. The reverse scale runs top-to-bottom, meaning the user must flip the rod before reading height from the top. Bright red indicators and weather-resistant ink keep marks legible in rain or sun, but the 1/8in resolution remains the hard limit for direct reading.

Simple Setup with Locking Sections

Each of the four sections slides out and locks with high-strength buttons; an injection-moulded joint keeps alignment straight. A built-in bubble level lets the user plumb the rod quickly. The most common issue is debris jamming the joints, so wiping the 0.8mm thick 6063-T5 aluminium tubes before collapsing prevents sticking and protects the anodised finish.
