Portable Level 2 EV Charger

This VEVOR unit delivers up to 9.6 kW at 240 V for SAE J1772 electric vehicles. Adjustable current settings of 40A, 32A, 24A and 16A let you match the circuit capacity. The 25 ft cable and NEMA 14-50P plug suit home or travel charging. An aluminium-alloy body and NEMA Type 4 rating protect against weather.

Installation and Common Issues

The package includes a mounting bracket, cable hook and four expansion screws for wall mounting. Plug the NEMA 14-50P into a compatible 240 V outlet; no hard-wiring is required. Ensure the outlet and breaker support the selected amperage to avoid nuisance tripping. The 16.1 lb weight means the bracket must be secured to studs or solid masonry.

40 A Maximum Current Decides Suitability

The charger tops out at 40 A, so vehicles or circuits limited to 32 A will not use the full rate. Buyers needing more than 9.6 kW must choose a higher-amperage unit. The fixed 25 ft length may be short for distant parking spots. No Wi-Fi, scheduling or load-balancing features are included.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the charger is delivering power after plugging it in?

What accessories are included and what must I provide?

The box contains a storage bag, wall bracket, cable hook, four expansion screws and a user manual; you must supply a NEMA 14-50R receptacle on a 240V circuit.

Which adjustable current setting should I select for my installation?

Choose 40A, 32A, 24A or 16A to match the capacity of the dedicated branch circuit and breaker you have installed.
