Spacious Walk-In Chicken Run

The VEVOR metal chicken coop provides a 9.8 by 6.5 by 6.5 foot enclosed area for poultry. Galvanised steel pipes and a PE protective net form the frame and walls. A doom roof cover made from PE tarp adds overhead shelter. The structure weighs 52.47 pounds and includes ground pegs for anchoring.

Upgrade From Basic Wire Pens

This walk-in run replaces small hutches or simple wire enclosures that limit movement and expose birds to aerial predators. The jump is worth it when keepers need standing-height access for cleaning and a larger protected footprint. The included door lock secures the entry point against intrusion.

Suits Backyard Flock Keepers

Hobbyists who want a permanent, walk-in shelter for a small flock will find the dimensions practical. The kit supplies all clamps, rods, bungee cords and hardware for assembly. It is not suited for keepers who need a portable tractor-style coop or those requiring integrated nesting boxes and perches.

Questions about this item

How much ground space does the 9.8 ft by 6.5 ft coop need for the galvanized steel frame?

The frame footprint is 9.84 ft by 6.56 ft (3 m by 2 m), so clear a level area at least that large plus room to drive the 7 ground pegs around the perimeter.

Which hardware pieces connect the roof tarp to the frame during assembly?

Use the 22 bungee cords to fasten the 6.26 ft by 11.25 ft PE tarp to the galvanized pipes; the zip ties and pipe clamps secure the netting, not the roof cover.

What parts of the 1.1 m by 24 m protective net may need replacing after prolonged sun exposure?

The PE netting and the PE tarp are both UV-sensitive; plan to swap either or both when they become brittle, using the original dimensions as a cutting guide.
