Steel landscape edging for garden borders

This six-piece set of pre-rusted weathering steel creates defined borders for flower beds, pathways and lawns. Each strip measures 40 inches long by 6 inches high with a thickness of .06 inches. The material develops a protective patina that deepens over time and resists further corrosion.

Suits gardeners shaping curved or straight edges

The flexible steel bends to follow circular, square or irregular layouts without snapping. Buyers who want more height than the 3.5 inch surface rise or a different finish should look at something else. The pre-rusted appearance is intentional and not a defect.

Quick assembly with included clips and gloves

Eight clips measuring 1.5 by 7.99 inches join the sections together, while integrated spikes of 2.5 inches anchor the edging into soil. Wear the supplied gloves during installation to avoid sharp edges. No special tools are required.

Questions about this item

What tools or base materials do I need to secure the 40 in edging sections into the ground?

The kit includes eight 38 x 203 mm clips and a pair of gloves; you only need a rubber mallet or hammer to drive the 63.5 mm spikes through the edging into the soil.

Will the pre-rusted 1.5 mm weathering steel react with my existing galvanised steel planter edging if they touch?

Direct contact between dissimilar metals can accelerate corrosion, so leave a small gap or use a plastic spacer between the new weathering steel and older galvanised sections.

How can I confirm the 1016 x 152.4 mm panels are seated at the correct 88.9 mm height after installation?

Measure from soil level to the top edge of each panel; it should read 88.9 mm, and the 2.5 in spikes should be fully driven so the clips sit flush against the edging.
