Portable 5-inch Digital Magnifier

The VEVOR YS012 is a handheld electronic video magnifier built around a five-inch LCD screen with 800 by 480 resolution. It uses a 13 megapixel dual-lens camera to provide continuous magnification from 2X to 48X. The unit weighs 0.88 lbs and measures 5.9 by 3.27 by 1.34 inches.

Suited for low-vision reading and distance viewing

The near and far dual-lens arrangement lets users switch between close-up documents and objects across a room without changing devices. Twenty-six colour modes and five brightness levels adapt contrast for different eye conditions. Buyers who need a larger display, higher camera resolution, or built-in text-to-speech output should consider other models.

Included cables and accessories extend use cases

An HDMI cable and a TV cable let the magnifier send its live image to an external monitor or television for group viewing. A USB cable handles charging for the 2500mAh battery. The package also supplies a storage bag, a cleaning cloth and a sling for carrying the device hands-free.

Questions about this item

Do I need my own TV or monitor to use the HDMI output on the YS012?

Yes — the HDMI cable in the box connects the magnifier to an external display you already own.

Will the 5-inch 800 x 480 screen show the same magnification range as my old desktop CCTV?

The YS012 provides 2X to 48X magnification on its built-in LCD; a desktop CCTV may offer different optics and screen size.

How can I confirm the 13 MP dual lens is capturing at full resolution after setup?

Check that the on-screen image reaches the 48X maximum and cycles through all 26 colour modes without lag.
