Power adapter for three fans

This 20 cm cable splits a single Molex 4-pin LP4 connector from the power supply into three 3-pin fan headers. It is intended for builders who want to run multiple 12 V DC fans from one PSU output without occupying extra motherboard fan headers.

PWM sharing and RPM reporting limits

The splitter passes the PWM control signal to all three fans so they spin together, but only the header wired with four pins returns a tachometer signal to the motherboard. Consequently the board monitors the speed of just one fan while the other two follow the same duty cycle without independent feedback.
