High-strength threadlocking adhesive

Vibra-TITE 131 is a red, high-strength threadlocker supplied in a 1-litre bottle for industrial and automotive assembly. It locks threaded fasteners against vibration loosening and seals threads to prevent fluid leakage. The product is intended for permanent assemblies that require heat and hand tools for disassembly.

Build integration and workflow impact

The liquid formula flows into thread engagement without additional primers on most metals. A 1-litre volume supports high-throughput production lines or large maintenance inventories. Curing begins once the fastener is tightened and air is excluded, freeing operators from clamping fixtures. Cleanup requires standard solvents before full cure.

Upgrade path and replacement context

This grade replaces medium-strength blue threadlockers when the joint must resist extreme vibration, thermal cycling or shock loads. The jump is warranted when disassembly will not be routine and fastener integrity outweighs serviceability. It is not suited for small-diameter screws, plastic components or applications requiring frequent adjustment.
