Vibra-TITE 146 is a red, high-strength anaerobic adhesive designed to lock and seal threaded fasteners permanently. It fills gaps up to .010 inch and cures between metal surfaces to create a solid, unitized assembly that resists vibration loosening. The 250mL bottle suits maintenance crews and assembly lines securing critical bolts, studs and pipe threads that must not back out under load.

Red Formula Enables Heat-Assisted Removal

The red colour identifies the highest strength grade in the range; once cured, the bond withstands extreme vibration and protects threads from rust and corrosion. Fasteners can still be disassembled using standard hand tools after localised heat is applied to break the anaerobic bond. This characteristic lets technicians service equipment without destroying threads or resorting to mechanical force that damages components.

Anaerobic Cure Limits Use to Metal Threads

The adhesive only polymerises in the absence of air and in the presence of active metal ions, so it will not cure on plastic, plated or non-metallic threads or in large clearance gaps beyond .010 inch. Surfaces must be clean and free of oil for reliable bonding, and the product is not designed for sealing unthreaded joints or filling structural voids. Users needing removable or adjustable fasteners should select a lower-strength grade.
