12-Digit Printing Calculator for Business

The Victor 1240-3A is a heavy-duty desktop calculator built for commercial and educational environments. Its extra-bright 12-digit fluorescent display with 15 mm digit size ensures clear visibility. A two-colour ribbon printer runs at 4.5 lines per second for fast record-keeping. The unit is manufactured with 45 percent recycled plastic.

12-Digit Capacity with Fast Ribbon Printing

Twelve digits handle standard invoicing, tax and margin calculations without overflow. The 4.5 lines-per-second ribbon printer produces black and red output on 2 1/4 inch paper rolls. The AC-only power source removes battery management but requires a mains outlet. The 7010 ribbon type is specified for replacements.

Upgrade from Basic Non-Printing Models

This calculator replaces entry-level units that lack a permanent paper trail or two-colour print. The jump is worth it when audit-ready logs, gross-profit-margin keys and automatic tax functions are needed daily. It is not suited for users who need portable battery operation or a compact footprint smaller than 12.30 by 8.50 inches.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-digit fluorescent display and 4.5 lines-per-second ribbon printer keep pace with my existing cash-drawer system?

The 12-digit fluorescent display shows every entry clearly, and the heavy-duty ribbon printer runs at 4.5 lines per second in black and red, matching the speed of most commercial cash-drawer workflows.

How can I confirm the 1240-3A is printing correctly after I plug it in?

Run a test print; the two-colour ribbon should produce sharp black and red characters on 2 1/4-inch paper at the rated 4.5 lines per second, and the 12-digit display will echo each entry as it prints.

Does the box include the 7010 ribbon and paper roll, or must I buy them separately?

The calculator ships with the 7010 ribbon installed and a starter roll of 2 1/4-inch paper; additional ribbons and paper rolls are sold separately.
