Smart Charge Pencil Cup PH600

The Victor Smart Charge Pencil Cup PH600 combines a desktop organiser with a four-port USB hub. It holds pens and pencils while the angled front cradles a smartphone, e-reader or tablet for hands-free viewing. A USB Mini cable is included for connection to a computer, and a DC 5V adapter can be used instead. Soft pad backing and rubber feet protect surfaces and keep the unit stable.

Desk users needing device stand and charging

This accessory suits anyone who wants a tidy pen holder that also props up a mobile device and supplies four USB ports for charging or data transfer. It works with mobile workstations, reception counters and traditional desks. Buyers who need enclosed storage, drawers or shelves should look elsewhere, as the cup provides only open-top organisation.

Four USB ports for charging and data

The single specification that decides fit is the presence of four USB ports supporting both device charging and data transfer from flash drives or phones. Power can come from the included USB Mini cable linked to a computer or from a separate DC 5V adapter. If four USB ports are not required, a simpler pen cup without hub functionality would be more appropriate.

Questions about this item

Does the PH600 need its own DC 5V power adapter to charge my phone, or can it run from my computer's USB Mini port?

The cup includes a USB Mini cable for computer connection and also accepts a separate DC 5V adapter, which is not supplied.

If I plug a flash drive into one of the four USB ports while the cup is linked to my PC, will the drive appear for file transfers?

Yes, the four USB ports support data transfer from flash drives and phones when the cup is connected to a computer via the USB Mini cable.

How can I verify the rubber feet and soft pad are preventing scratches and keeping the cup stable after I set it up?

Place the cup on your desk surface and press gently; it should not slide, and the black matte finish should show no marks when lifted.
