Pair of Bookshelf Speakers

The Victrola VPS-400-GRN Tempo speakers are a stereo pair designed to match turntables such as the Wave and Stream Onyx. They deliver room-filling sound through a four-inch woofer and one-inch dome tweeter. An illuminated front knob provides direct volume and source control. Multiple wired inputs sit alongside wireless connectivity.

Buyers matching a Victrola turntable

This set suits listeners who want a coordinated look and simple wired or wireless playback from a turntable, phone, computer or television. The dual Auracast transmitter and receiver allow analog sources to be broadcast or shared streams to be received. Buyers needing a single speaker, a subwoofer output or a different finish should consider other options.

Four-inch woofer and one-inch tweeter

The driver combination determines the frequency response and overall tonal balance of the system. A four-inch woofer handles bass and midrange while the one-inch dome tweeter covers high frequencies. This specification decides whether the speaker meets the listener's expectations for scale and clarity.

Questions about this item

Will the 4-inch woofer or 1-inch tweeter need routine maintenance or replacement over time?

The drivers are sealed inside the cabinet and have no user-serviceable parts, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement is required under normal use.

What limit appears first when the speakers run at high volume for long periods?

The built-in amplifier protection circuit will mute the output before the 4-inch woofer or 1-inch tweeter can be damaged by sustained high-level signals.

How much heat or fan noise do the speakers produce when left on all day?

The Class D amplifier runs cool enough that the cabinets stay near room temperature and there is no internal fan, so audible noise is limited to the audio programme itself.
