4-Space 7" Black Rack Filler Cover

The Video Mount Products 4-space filler cover occupies four rack units in a standard 19-inch enclosure. Its steel construction is finished with a black powder coat for a uniform appearance. The panel adds no ports or connectivity, serving only to close unused openings.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This blank panel suits installers who need to maintain airflow discipline and a clean front face in a 19-inch rack. It does not suit anyone requiring a vented panel, cable pass-throughs, or mounting holes for equipment. Buyers needing a different rack-unit height or a coloured finish other than black should look elsewhere.

Steel blank panel, 7 inches high

The single specification that decides fit is the 7-inch height, which corresponds to four rack units in a 19-inch wide frame. Depth measures .11 inches and the panel weighs .58 feet in the supplier data. Confirm your rack uses standard 19-inch spacing and that you have exactly four contiguous units free.

Questions about this item

Will the steel panel ever need repainting or replacement in a rack?

The powder-coated steel finish resists corrosion, so the panel does not require repainting or scheduled replacement under normal indoor use.

What physical limit is reached first when the filler stays in a fully populated rack?

The panel occupies exactly four rack units (7 in height) and 0.11 in depth, so the first limit is the 4U space it consumes in the 19 in wide enclosure.

Does the blank cover generate any noise, heat or power draw during continuous operation?

As a passive steel blank with no moving parts or electronics, it produces no noise, adds no measurable heat and draws zero power.
