Covert PIR camera with integrated DVR

The VideoSecu DVRSD30 combines a 420TVL CCD camera and a mini digital video recorder inside a passive infrared sensor housing. It is designed for discreet indoor monitoring of offices, homes or nurseries where visible cameras are undesirable.

Simple placement with battery backup

The unit runs on a built-in rechargeable battery and a supplied 5V power supply, so no complex wiring is required. Motion-activated recording starts automatically when body heat is detected, and footage is stored on a user-supplied SD card for later review on any computer.

Verify SD card and viewing setup first

You must provide an SD memory card because none is included with the recorder. Ensure you have a card reader or a device with an SD slot to transfer the recorded video files for playback and archiving.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 420TVL CCD camera is recording after I set up motion detection?

The on-screen menus let you review footage frame by frame, and the built-in rechargeable battery keeps the unit running so you can verify recordings on a monitor or by inserting an SD card.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy an SD card separately?

The package includes the IR covert camera DVR recorder and a 5V power supply; an SD memory card is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which lens option should I choose for a wide viewing angle?

The unit has a fixed F3.7mm wide-angle lens, so there is no alternative lens to select.
