Viega 26070 MegaPress 90 street elbow 1-1/2
A zinc nickel-plated steel 90-degree street elbow with press-fit and FTG connections for non-potable water up to 200 psi and 250 degrees F
- Press-fit connection enables fast, flame-free installation
- 90-degree street elbow redirects flow in tight spaces
- Zinc nickel-plated steel resists corrosion in non-potable systems
- EPDM O-ring seals reliably up to 200 psi
- Rated for continuous operation at 250 degrees F
90-degree street elbow for MegaPress systems
This 90-degree street elbow joins two 1-1/2 inch connections in a MegaPress piping layout. The press-fit end accepts a 1-1/2 inch pipe while the FTG end fits into a corresponding MegaPress fitting of the same size. It is intended for non-potable water installations.
Press-ready design with EPDM seal
The fitting arrives with an EPDM O-ring already seated, so the joint is completed by a single press operation without threading, soldering or separate sealant. The zinc nickel-plated steel body resists corrosion in typical hydronic environments.
Rated for 200 psi and 250 °F
The steel construction and plated finish handle a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 250 °F. The street-elbow geometry keeps the flow path compact where space is limited, though the fixed 90-degree angle cannot be adjusted on site.

Questions about this item
How often should the EPDM O-ring on this 90-degree MegaPress street elbow be inspected or replaced?
The EPDM O-ring is rated for the fitting's maximum operating temperature of 250 degrees F and pressure of 200 psi; inspect it during routine system maintenance or if leaks appear at the press connection.
What is the maximum sustained pressure this 1-1/2 inch zinc nickel-plated steel fitting can handle before leaking?
The maximum operating pressure is 200 psi; exceeding this limit risks joint failure on the press-fit or FTG ends.
Does the zinc nickel-plated finish discolour or degrade when the fitting runs at 250 degrees F all day?
The finish is designed for the full 250 degrees F maximum operating temperature, so prolonged exposure at that level should not cause premature degradation.
