Kids night-light projector

This ViewSonic DLP LED projector casts 93 colour variations with three interchangeable films showing unicorn, mermaid and star-and-moon scenes. It is designed for children's bedrooms and runs on mains power from 90 to 264 VAC at 47/63 Hz. The unit weighs 0.322 kilograms and measures 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D.

Build and daily use

The white cabinet houses a silent LED lamp that does not require replacement and includes overheat protection so the surface stays safe to touch. A handheld remote controls power, rotation, brightness and a timer that can run up to 12 hours. The projector can rotate 360 degrees or remain fixed, and it operates without audible noise.

Before ordering

Check that you have a standard mains socket within reach of the projector's corded power supply. The device has no network connectors and does not stream content, so it works entirely offline. Ensure the projection surface is large enough for the intended viewing distance.

Questions about this item

What power input range does the projector accept?

The unit runs on 90 to 264 VAC at 47 or 63 Hz, so it works on standard mains worldwide without a separate adapter.

How much space is needed for the projector?

It measures 14.33 in wide, 12.83 in high and 9.06 in deep, and weighs only 0.322 kg, so it fits on a bedside table or shelf.

How do you set up the projector and what step is often missed?

Plug it into mains, choose one of the three film discs, point the lens where you want the image, then use the remote to pick a colour mode, brightness level and timer — the timer must be set if you want it to turn off automatically.
