Business projector for bright rooms

The ViewSonic PA700W is a WXGA business projector rated at 4500 lumens and a native resolution of 1280 x 800. It is built for meeting rooms and classrooms where ambient light makes dimmer units hard to read. The 0.65 DMD chip delivers a 22000:1 contrast ratio and 1.07 billion display colors for clear text and graphics.

Practical limits of the interface

Dual HDMI inputs let you switch between two sources without unplugging cables, while a USB Type A port accepts wireless dongles for cable-free presenting. The 1.1x optical zoom and 40-degree vertical keystone correction handle off-centre placement, but the throw ratio of 1.544 to 1.72 means the unit must sit 1.18 to 13.17 metres back for image sizes between 30 and 300 inches.

Upgrade path and when it matters

This model replaces older projectors that fall below 3500 lumens or lack HDMI and USB connectivity for modern laptops and mobile devices. The jump is worth it when presentations must stay visible in lit rooms and when lamp maintenance needs to drop; SuperEco mode extends lamp life to 15000 hours compared with typical 12000-hour ratings.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the PA700W for its 4500 ANSI lumens or look for a brighter model?

At 4500 ANSI lumens the PA700W is rated above 3500 lumens, making it suitable for well-lit meeting rooms and classrooms without needing a higher-output unit.

What does the 22000:1 contrast ratio actually deliver when the projector is running?

The 22000:1 native contrast comes from the 0.65 inch DMD chip, producing deep blacks and clear text even when ambient light is present.

Which connections does the dual HDMI and USB Type-A setup support in daily use?

Dual HDMI ports let you switch between two sources such as a laptop and a media player, while the USB Type-A port powers wireless dongles or handles firmware updates.
