Bright WUXGA projector for presentations and media

The ViewSonic PG701WU is a new business projector that delivers 3500 lumens at a native 1920 x 1200 resolution. Its 16:10 aspect ratio suits widescreen slides and video without letterboxing. The white cabinet fits cleanly into meeting rooms or home offices.

Low latency and long lamp life

A 16 ms input latency keeps motion smooth for interactive use or casual viewing. SuperEco mode extends the lamp to 20000 hours while lowering power draw from a 100 to 240 VAC supply. Built-in speakers provide basic audio without external hardware.

Upgrade from dimmer or lower-resolution units

This model replaces projectors that fall short on brightness or native WUXGA clarity, especially in lit rooms. It is not for buyers who need horizontal keystone correction, lens shift, or 3D content without a compatible source and glasses. The 1.1x optical zoom and 40 degree vertical keystone handle most vertical alignment tasks.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the PG701WU and what step do people often miss?

Place the projector 0.97 to 10.67 metres from the screen, use the 1.1x optical zoom to size the 1920x1200 image, then apply up to 40 degrees of vertical keystone correction — many forget the keystone step and get a trapezoid picture.

What part will need replacing and when?

The lamp is rated for up to 20000 hours in SuperEco mode; after that the brightness will drop and the lamp must be replaced.

What limits image quality during long sessions?

The 16 ms input latency is fixed; under sustained use the 12000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 3500 lumen brightness remain constant, so latency is the first limit you notice.
