Genuine Compatible Replacement Lamp

The ViewSonic PJ256D is a ready-to-install lamp module that pairs a new 156W P-VIP bulb with its housing for straightforward replacement in supported ViewSonic projectors. It targets owners who need a direct swap without separate bulb handling or alignment steps.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The 156W lamp operates within the projector's original thermal design and delivers up to 2000 hours in normal mode or 3000 hours in economy mode before replacement is due. Power consumption and acoustic profile remain consistent with the factory specification for the unit.

Build Quality and Daily Use

Each module is assembled to ISO9001 standards using OEM-grade components and undergoes checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage, appearance, connections and run-time. The pre-assembled housing eliminates the need for bulb-only installation and reduces downtime during changeover.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PJ256D lamp module and what step is often missed?

Power off and unplug the projector, let it cool, remove the lamp cover, release the retaining screws, slide the old module out, insert the new PJ256D housing until it seats firmly, re-tighten the screws, replace the cover, then reset the lamp-hour counter in the menu — the reset is the step most people forget.

What maintenance or replacement will the PJ256D lamp need later?

The 156 W P-VIP bulb is rated for 2,000 hours in Normal mode or 3,000 hours in Economy mode; once the image dims or the projector warns of end-of-life, replace the entire module — no user-serviceable parts inside.

What limit appears first during extended use of the PJ256D lamp?

The 2,000-hour Normal-mode rating (or 3,000 hours in Economy) is the first hard limit; after that the bulb’s output drops below usable levels and the projector will prompt for replacement.
