ViewSonic PJ557DC Replacement Lamp

The ViewSonic PJ557DC is a new 180W replacement projector lamp module supplied with a fully assembled bulb and housing. It is designed for owners of compatible ViewSonic projectors who need a ready-to-install light source that restores original brightness without additional assembly.

Suits owners seeking OEM-standard reliability

This lamp suits users who want a direct replacement built to ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time. It is not for buyers who need a bare bulb without housing, nor for those whose projector requires a different wattage or lamp code.

Maintains output over 2,000-hour rated life

Under sustained operation the UHP lamp delivers consistent illumination for its rated 2,000 hours before brightness gradually declines. The assembled module dissipates heat through the projector’s existing cooling system, so performance remains stable during extended presentations or classroom sessions.

Questions about this item

Which ViewSonic projector models accept the PJ557DC lamp module?

The PJ557DC lamp module is designed as a direct replacement for ViewSonic projectors that originally shipped with the POA-LMP118 lamp assembly.

Will this 180W UHP lamp operate correctly in a projector that previously used a lower-wattage module?

The lamp is rated at 180W and 2,000 hours; it should only be installed in projectors specified for that wattage to avoid overheating or premature failure.

How can I verify the new lamp is performing to its 2,000-hour rating after installation?

Reset the projector's lamp-hour counter to zero, then monitor the on-screen timer; the lamp should reach 2,000 hours before brightness drops below half its initial output.
