ViewSonic PJD5123 DLP Projector

The ViewSonic PJD5123 is a new DLP home theater projector delivering 2700 ANSI lumens brightness and a native 800 x 600 resolution. It supports front, rear and ceiling projection with a throw ratio of 1.97:1 to 2.17:1 and includes USB and VGA connectivity.

Ideal for 4:3 content and legacy sources

This unit suits viewers who primarily watch 4:3 material or connect older PCs and video devices via VGA. Buyers who need widescreen native resolution or modern digital video inputs such as HDMI should look elsewhere.

Native 800 x 600 resolution decides fit

The fixed 800 x 600 panel determines the sharpest image the projector can produce without scaling. If your source material matches this resolution the picture will be pixel-perfect; otherwise the scaler will interpolate.

Questions about this item

How much fan noise and heat does the PJD5123 produce during extended use?

The projector weighs 5.7 lbs and measures 3.20" x 11.20" x 9.20", so it fits on a table or ceiling mount where normal ventilation keeps it cool.

Which cables or adapters must I already own to connect a video source?

The unit provides USB and VGA/SVGA D-Sub ports, so you need a VGA cable or a compatible USB adapter for your source device.

Will my older 480i or 576p equipment display correctly on this 800 x 600 DLP projector?

Yes, the projector accepts 480i, 480p, 576i and 576p signals and scales them to the native 800 x 600 panel.
