Purpose & Audience

The ViewSonic PJD6221 is a DLP business projector rated at 2700 lumens with a native 1024 x 768 resolution. It accepts a 1080p HD video signal and weighs 5.8 lbs, making it a portable option for meeting rooms and classrooms that need a bright image on a modest budget.

Who Should Buy — And Who Shouldn't

Suitable for presenters who mainly show slides, documents or legacy 4:3 material and want a lightweight unit they can move between rooms. Not suited for users who need native widescreen resolution, higher contrast for dark-room video, or built-in networking and wireless casting features.

Deciding Specification

Native resolution is 1024 x 768; the projector scales a 1080p input down to that grid, so fine detail in full HD sources will be reduced. If your content is created in 1024 x 768 the image maps pixel-for-pixel; otherwise expect scaling softness.

Questions about this item

What cables or adapters come with the PJD6221 and what must I buy separately?

The listing mentions an HDMI adapter is included; the projector itself has a native 1024 x 768 resolution and accepts 1080p HD video input.

Should I choose the 2700-lumen version or a lower-brightness model for a lit meeting room?

At 2700 lumens and a 2800:1 contrast ratio, this unit sits at the top of the 2500–2999 lumen band, making it suitable for rooms with ambient light.

How does the 1024 x 768 native resolution look when displaying 1080p content?

The DLP chip displays 1024 x 768 natively; 1080p signals are accepted and scaled to that grid, so fine detail is rendered at XGA sharpness.
