Direct Replacement Lamp

The ViewSonic PJD8653S-1W module fits the original housing and ships with a new Osram P-VIP 240W bulb. It is intended for owners of compatible ViewSonic projectors who need a factory-matched light source without sourcing separate components.

Stable Output Over Extended Hours

Rated life reaches 3500 hours in normal mode and 7000 hours in economy mode. The lamp maintains consistent brightness through those intervals because each unit is tested for ignition voltage, beam performance and run-time before dispatch.

Tool-Free Module Swap

The fully assembled unit slides into the projector cavity and locks without screws or cable routing. The only common issue is forgetting to reset the projector’s internal hour counter after installation, which leaves the replacement lamp showing the old elapsed time.

Questions about this item

How much heat and power does the 240 W lamp produce during all-day use?

The lamp draws 240 W; in normal mode it is rated for 3,500 hours and in economy mode for 7,000 hours, so heat output stays consistent with those settings.

Which projector models accept the PJD8653S-1W lamp module?

It fits ViewSonic projectors that use the RLC-082 lamp code; the package includes the bulb and housing assembled for direct installation.

Will this lamp work in an older ViewSonic projector that originally shipped with a different wattage bulb?

The module is built to the same 240 W specification and RLC-082 form factor as the original lamp, so it matches the projector's existing power and ignition requirements.
