Ready-to-install lamp module

The ViewSonic PJD8653S lamp module arrives as a fully assembled 240W bulb and housing unit. It is designed for direct replacement in compatible ViewSonic projectors without additional tools or alignment steps. This new OEM replacement uses an Osram P-VIP bulb manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards. Buyers needing a bare bulb without housing should look elsewhere.

Verified connector and housing fit

Each unit undergoes checks for ignition voltage, beam performance and connection integrity before dispatch. The pre-assembled housing ensures the lamp seats correctly in the projector's lamp compartment on the first attempt. Compatibility is limited to projectors that accept the RLC-082 module; owners of other ViewSonic models must verify fitment before ordering.

Rated output and economy runtime

The 240W P-VIP bulb delivers 3,500 hours of operation in normal mode and up to 7,000 hours when the projector runs in economy mode. Power draw remains fixed at the rated wattage during normal use, with fan noise determined by the host projector's cooling design. No alternative wattage or lamp-life figures apply to this module.

Questions about this item

Does the 240 W P-VIP bulb set the brightness ceiling for the projector?

Yes — the 240 W Osram P-VIP bulb determines the maximum light output the projector can deliver.

What mechanical interface does the RLC-082 housing use to lock into the projector?

It uses the original ViewSonic RLC-082 housing moulding, so it slots into the lamp cage exactly like the factory module.

Which step do installers most often skip when fitting this lamp module?

Resetting the projector's lamp-hour counter after installation; without it the unit will still show the old lamp's elapsed time.
