Expandable I/O Box for ViewBoard

The ViewSonic VB-IOB-001 adds extra input ports to compatible ViewBoard displays. It is designed for classrooms or meeting rooms that need more connection options for laptops and legacy devices.

Connectors and mounting

The box provides USB Type-C with DisplayPort 1.2 alt mode, DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, VGA and 3.5 mm audio inputs. A single HDMI output links to the display, while a USB 2.0 Type-A port passes through touch or data signals. The package includes a mounting bracket, screws and an HDMI cable for a tidy installation behind the screen.

Practical limits

USB Type-C video requires the source to support DisplayPort 1.2 alt mode; plain USB-C data ports will not drive the display. HDMI input is limited to the 2.0 specification, so higher refresh rates or resolutions beyond that standard are not supported. The unit draws power from the ViewBoard USB port, so it cannot operate as a standalone hub without the display.
