Curved WQHD+ Ultrawide for Colour-Critical Work

The ViewSonic VP3881A is a 38-inch curved IPS monitor with a 3840 x 1600 resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. Its 2300R curvature wraps the panoramic image around the viewer for an immersive workspace. Factory-calibrated Delta E<2 accuracy covers 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 colour spaces, supported by a 14-bit 3D LUT producing 4.39 trillion colours. Hardware calibration capability ensures the display matches the original file precisely.

Suited to Creative Professionals.

This monitor serves graphic designers, photographers and video editors who need wide gamut coverage, hardware calibration and a uniform 178-degree viewing angle. The integrated USB-C port carries video, data and power while the built-in hub connects peripherals. Buyers who need a refresh rate above 60Hz or adaptive-sync variable refresh technology should look at a different class of display. The 5 ms response time and 300 cd/m2 brightness are set for colour work, not competitive play.

Single-Cable USB-C with 60Hz WQHD+ Limit

The USB-C interface delivers video, audio, data and charging through one cable, reducing desk clutter for laptop-based workflows. HDMI and DisplayPort inputs are also available, all supporting HDCP 2.2 for protected 4K content. The panel’s maximum vertical refresh rate is 75Hz, but the native WQHD+ resolution runs at 60Hz. If your workflow demands a higher refresh rate at this resolution, this monitor does not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the ViewSonic VP3881A with a single USB-C cable for video, data and power?

Plug a USB-C cable that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and power delivery into the monitor's USB-C port; the port carries 3840 x 1600 at 60 Hz, USB hub data and up to the rated charging wattage in one connection.

What calibration upkeep does the hardware-calibration-ready panel require over time?

Re-run hardware calibration with a supported colorimeter whenever color drift appears; the 14-bit 3D LUT and Delta E<2 factory tune hold accuracy until the next calibration cycle.

At what brightness ceiling does HDR10 content stop gaining luminance on this 300 cd/m² panel?

HDR10 highlights are tone-mapped to the 300 cd/m² peak, so sustained bright scenes clip at that level rather than reaching higher nit values.
