Genuine Osram P-VIP 240W lamp module

The ViewSonic VS14991 is a new replacement projector lamp module supplied with an original Osram P-VIP 240W bulb inside a complete housing. It matches the OEM part number RLC-082 and is intended for ViewSonic projectors that specify this lamp code.

Ready-to-fit housing simplifies replacement

The lamp arrives as a fully assembled bulb and housing unit, so no separate bulb handling or alignment is required during installation. Simply remove the old module and insert the new one following the projector’s standard lamp-change procedure. The only common issue is forgetting to reset the projector’s lamp-hour counter after fitting the new module, which can cause premature replacement warnings.

Verify your projector uses the RLC-082 code

Before ordering, confirm that your ViewSonic projector lists the RLC-082 lamp part number in its manual or on the existing lamp label. The lamp is rated for 3,500 hours in normal mode and 7,000 hours in economy mode, so ensure the projector’s usage pattern matches your expected lifespan. Compatibility with other lamp codes is not guaranteed.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the lamp is operating correctly after installation?

The projector should display a bright, even image and the lamp-hour counter will begin counting from zero toward the 3,500-hour normal or 7,000-hour economy ratings.

What components are included and is anything else required for installation?

The module ships as a fully assembled 240 W Osram P-VIP bulb inside its housing, ready to fit; no extra parts or tools are needed.

Which version of the VS14991 lamp should I select for my projector?

Four versions are offered: the original bulb-maker OEM, the ViewSonic-sold OEM, an alternative OEM from a different bulb manufacturer, and a cost-effective compatible built with genuine OEM parts.
