15.6-inch 4K OLED portable monitor

The ViewSonic VX1655-4K-OLED is a 15.6-inch portable monitor with a 3840 x 2160 OLED panel. It delivers 400 cd/m² brightness and a 100,000:1 typical contrast ratio for deep blacks and vivid colour. The 1ms typical response time and 60Hz refresh rate suit creative work and media consumption. Dual USB-C ports with two-way 60W power and mini HDMI 2.0 provide flexible connectivity for laptops and devices.

Sustained visual performance

OLED technology maintains the 100,000:1 contrast and 1.07 billion colours without the backlight bleed common in LCD panels during long sessions. The 170° horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep colour and brightness consistent when the screen is shared or tilted. The integrated kickstand design dissipates heat through the rear housing while supporting both portrait and landscape orientations. Two USB-C ports allow simultaneous video input and power delivery to the host device.

Check your host connections

Verify that your source device offers a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode or a mini HDMI 2.0 output to drive 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. The monitor draws power through USB-C, so confirm your port can supply enough current or use the second USB-C port for a dedicated charger. A 3.5mm audio jack is available for headphones if the host does not route audio over USB-C or HDMI. The smart cover protects the screen during transport.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6-inch OLED panel run hot or draw much power during all-day use?

The 400 cd/m² OLED panel has no fan and draws power only through its two USB-C ports, so heat and consumption stay low even at 60 Hz.

Which cables or adapters must I already have to connect this monitor?

You need a USB-C cable that carries video and power, or a mini HDMI 2.0 cable plus a separate USB-C power source.

Will the 3840 x 2160 60 Hz signal work reliably over mini HDMI with my older laptop?

Yes, the mini HDMI 2.0 port accepts a 4K 60 Hz signal from any source that can output that resolution.
