24 inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor

The ViewSonic VX2416A is a 24 inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor aimed at players who want smooth motion without a high price. Its 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time suit fast-paced titles. The 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep colours consistent across the matte anti-glare panel.

Easy setup with HDMI 1.4 DisplayPort and USB-C

Connect a laptop, PC or Mac through HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort or USB-C signal input and the monitor is recognised instantly. No driver installation is required for basic operation. The only common issue is forgetting that the USB-C port carries video only, so it will not charge a connected laptop.

120Hz 1080p headroom for competitive and casual play

At 1920x1080 resolution the 120Hz panel handles esports shooters and MOBA games with ample frame-rate headroom. The 250 cd/m2 brightness and 1300:1 static contrast are sufficient for indoor lighting but fall short in very bright rooms or for HDR content. Demanding single-player titles may push beyond the panel's fixed refresh ceiling.

Questions about this item

Will this monitor work with my laptop that only has USB-C video output?

Yes, the USB-C port accepts a video signal so you can connect a laptop directly without an adapter.

Does the 120 Hz refresh rate require a DisplayPort cable or does HDMI work too?

Both HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort support the full 120 Hz at 1920x1080, so you can use either cable.

Is the stand height-adjustable or will I need a monitor arm for ergonomic positioning?

The stand provides tilt adjustment only; for height, swivel or pivot you would need a VESA-compatible monitor arm.
