27-inch 165Hz IPS gaming monitor

The ViewSonic VX2728J is a 27-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor built for competitive players who value high refresh rates and low motion blur. Its 165Hz panel and 0.5ms MPRT response time keep fast action sharp. AMD FreeSync Premium support removes tearing during variable frame-rate gameplay. The flat anti-glare screen covers 90% DCI-P3 and 132% sRGB colour volume.

Check graphics outputs and desk space

Verify that your system can output 1920 x 1080 at 165Hz over DisplayPort or HDMI before ordering. The monitor accepts both interfaces, but maximum refresh rate may depend on the cable and GPU port version. Ensure your desk can accommodate the fully adjustable stand, which offers tilt, swivel, pivot and height movement. The three-sided borderless design suits multi-monitor arrays if bezel alignment matters.

Ergonomic stand frees desk real estate

The included stand provides extensive ergonomic range — tilt, swivel, rotate and height adjustment — so the screen can be positioned without extra monitor arms. Integrated cable routing keeps power and video leads tidy, reducing clutter around the base. HDR10 decoding adds highlight detail for supported games and streaming content. Wide 178-degree viewing angles maintain consistent colour when viewed from the side.

Questions about this item

Does the VX2728J ship with both an HDMI and a DisplayPort cable or do I need to buy one separately?

The monitor includes an HDMI cable in the box; a DisplayPort cable is not supplied and must be purchased separately if required.

Should I pick the 165 Hz 1080p IPS version or is there a higher-resolution model in the same series?

This model is the 27 inch 1920 x 1080 165 Hz IPS panel; no other resolution or refresh-rate variant is listed for the VX2728J.

How does the 0.5 ms MPRT response time actually feel in fast shooters?

The 0.5 ms MPRT rating means pixel transitions are fast enough to keep motion clear at 165 Hz, reducing ghosting in competitive titles.
