ViewSonic X1-4KPRO 4K home theater projector

The ViewSonic X1-4KPRO is a new 4K UHD LED smart projector built for home theater and gaming. It delivers 3840 x 2160 native resolution with 2500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 3000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Integrated Google TV provides direct access to streaming services without an external dongle. The 1.36x optical zoom and 1.15-1.5 throw ratio support screen sizes from 60 to 150 inches.

Practical limits of 120Hz and 240Hz refresh rates

The projector offers a 120Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate for smoother motion handling. Xbox gaming is optimized at 1440p resolution with 120Hz refresh rate for balanced visuals and responsiveness. HDMI bandwidth constraints mean 4K at 240Hz is not supported; the higher rate applies to lower resolutions. Input lag and motion clarity will vary depending on the source device and selected resolution.

Upgrades from 1080p projectors and non-smart models

This unit replaces 1080p projectors by adding native 4K resolution, HDR/HLG support, and 125% Rec. 709 color coverage for richer image quality. It also upgrades non-smart projectors by integrating Google TV and built-in dual Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers, removing the need for separate streaming sticks and external audio. The jump is worth it for buyers who want a single device for high-resolution gaming, streaming, and cinema viewing without extra boxes.
