Viking Hi-Viz Safety Jacket Class 3

The Viking D6329JO-XXL is a high-visibility rain jacket built to ANSI Class 3 Type R requirements for workers who need maximum conspicuity in low-light or high-traffic environments. It uses 300 denier trilobal rip-stop polyester with a polyurethane backing to block wind and rain while meeting the standard for professional safety apparel.

Class 3 Type R visibility standard

ANSI Class 3 Type R sets the highest minimum area for background and retroreflective material, making this jacket suitable for complex backgrounds and high-speed traffic exposure. The standard does not address thermal insulation, breathability ratings or specific chemical resistance, so users must assess those needs separately for their work conditions.

Detachable hood and storm-flap closure

A detachable hood and a double storm flap with hook-and-loop plus zipper allow quick adaptation to changing weather without tools. The 33 in length covers the torso well, but the fixed 2XL sizing means workers between sizes may find the fit restrictive or loose, and the rip-stop fabric can snag on sharp edges if not handled carefully.

The 33 in length is the only size offered for this 2XL jacket; choose it if the measurement matches your torso and arm reach.

What does the ANSI Class 3 Type R rating actually deliver on a jobsite?

Class 3 Type R provides the highest level of daytime and night-time conspicuity for workers exposed to high-speed traffic or complex backgrounds.

How does the 300 denier rip-stop polyester with polyurethane backing perform in heavy rain?

The 300 denier trilobal rip-stop shell with PU backing blocks wind and resists water penetration while the double storm flap seals the front closure.
