Viking VK-25AE Paging Horn

The Viking VK-25AE is a weather-resistant paging horn built for indoor and outdoor use. It adds economical coverage to existing Viking paging units or any system with an 8-ohm output. Installers can direct sound down aisles and toward work areas in factories or warehouses. Its compact design allows for out-of-the-way mounting in tight spaces.

8-Ohm / 12-Watt Interface Limits

The horn operates at a nominal 12 watts with an 8-ohm impedance, matching standard paging amplifier outputs. Frequency response spans 400 Hz to 7000 Hz, which is tailored for voice intelligibility rather than full-range music reproduction. Systems requiring higher output power or wider bandwidth will need different speaker types. The 127 mm diameter driver sets the physical scale for the acoustic output.

Adjustable Base and Compact Build

A beige, weather-resistant enclosure protects the driver from moisture and dust in harsh environments. The adjustable base simplifies mounting and allows precise directional aiming after installation. Compact dimensions let the unit fit in corners or under eaves without obstruction. The design focuses on reliable voice projection for paging systems rather than high-fidelity audio.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the VK-25AE or a different model for my paging system?

The VK-25AE is an 8 ohm, 12 watt paging horn designed to add coverage to Viking PA-2A, CPA-7B, HF-3W or M2W units. Select it when you need a weather-resistant horn with a 400Hz to 7000Hz response for indoor or outdoor use.

How loud will the 12 watt rating actually be in my warehouse?

At 12 watts into 8 ohms the horn produces clear, directional voice output focused down aisles or toward work areas. The 400Hz to 7000Hz range is tailored for speech intelligibility rather than music fidelity in noisy factory or warehouse environments.

What does the 8 ohm impedance mean for my amplifier connection?

The 8 ohm nominal impedance matches the output of Viking paging units such as the PA-2A, CPA-7B, HF-3W and M2W, allowing you to connect the horn directly without additional transformers or matching networks.
