Its front panel matches a standard single-gang wall plate and installs flush in a 2.25-inch deep electrical box or surface-mounts with an optional VE-3x5 back box. The unit draws power directly from the telephone line.

IP66-rated ingress protection

The device is engineered to meet an IP66 rating, with an internally sealed push button rated to IP67. A Mylar speaker, faceplate gasket, microphone and speaker gaskets, a self-draining microphone mount and UV-stable powder coating combine to resist water and dust ingress.

Vandal-resistant materials and finish options

A 16-gauge brass or 18-gauge 304 stainless steel faceplate, 316 stainless steel button, carbon-fibre speaker screen and hex-drive screws deter tampering.
