Viking PA-2A telephone accessory

Paging and loud-ring interface

The Viking PA-2A connects to a telephone system through an unused trunk port or a dedicated paging port. It monitors up to six central-office lines for incoming ring signals or accepts a dry-contact closure from a key system. When triggered, the unit drives an external amplified speaker to produce a loud electronic ring.

Installers needing multi-line ring detection

Technicians who require a single device to watch several CO lines or a dry-contact trigger will find the six-line capacity suitable. Sites that only need a basic ringer on one line, or that lack a spare trunk or paging port on their PBX, should consider simpler single-line alternatives.

Six-line CO monitoring capability

The specification that determines fit is the ability to monitor up to six central-office lines simultaneously for ring voltage. If the installation has more than six lines to watch, or relies solely on SIP endpoints without analog trunk ports, this unit will not cover the requirement.
